Seit 2007 zeichnet das Forum Friedenspsychologie mit dem Gert-Sommer-Preis f\u00fcr Friedenspsychologie akademische Abschlussarbeiten aus, die sich auf herausragender Weise mit theoretischen oder empirischen Fragestellungen der Friedenspsychologie widmen.<\/p>\n

Zudem f\u00f6rdert das Forum Friedenspsychologie mit den j\u00e4hrlichen Small Grants die Durchf\u00fchrung von friedenspsychologischen Projekten, wie z. B. Workshops oder Abschlussarbeiten.<\/p>\n

Die Preistr\u00e4ger*innen und ihre Projekte werden hier vorgestellt. Wir danken herzlich f\u00fcr die vielen Einreichungen und Eure Beitr\u00e4ge!<\/p>\n

Mit ihrer Doktorarbeit Adressing Affective Polarization: Intellectual Humility in Controversial Political Discussions<\/em> \u00fcberzeugte Dr. Larissa Kn\u00f6chelmann<\/a><\/strong> die Jury und erhielt den Gert-Sommer-Preis 2025.<\/p>\n

Zudem wurde Maria C\u00e1rdenas<\/a> Doktorarbeit Ethnic(ized) activism and its decolonizing potential to build pluriversal peace. The case of Colombia <\/em>mit einer Honorable Mention gew\u00fcrdigt. Auch Judith Paminger<\/a> und Zainab Rahimi erhielten f\u00fcr ihre Peer-Masterarbeit “They talk about us like toys” <\/span>Participative and biographic-narrative exploration of displaced interpreters\u2019 life worlds in Greece<\/em> eine\u00a0Honorable Mention.<\/p>\n

Small-Grant Gewinnerin 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

Der Small Grant ging an Toneva Peace<\/strong>, mit ihrem Projekt \u201eChildren Born in Captivity (CBIC) During the LRA War in Northern Uganda\u201c. Ihr Projekt m\u00f6chte in einer ersten Untersuchung die psychische Gesundheit von Jugendlichen, die w\u00e4hrend des LRA Kriegs in Gefangenschaft geboren und aufgewachsen sind, verbessern und Ressourcen aufzeigen.<\/p>\n

Jacqueline Kittel<\/strong><\/a>, M.Sc., gewann mit ihrer Masterarbeit Auch morgen noch aktiv sein \u2013 eine qualitative Analyse der Copingstrategien und Resilienzfaktoren junger Klimaaktivist:innen<\/em> den Gert-Sommer-Preis 2024.<\/p>\n

Zus\u00e4tzlich erhielt Laura Strietzke<\/a> eine Honorable Mention f\u00fcr ihre Masterarbeit mit dem Titel Knowing How We Feel: Group-based and Perceived Collective Emotions in Times of War.<\/em><\/p>\n

Small-Grant Gewinner 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Dr. Slieman Halabi<\/a><\/strong> conducted a series of studies to examine the moral lessons from National Socialism and the Holocaust and their significance for safeguarding democracy. His research demonstrates that the lesson to resist right-wing extremism plays a central role in motivating collective resistance against authoritarian and right-wing extremist movements.<\/p>\n

In a survey of 750 Israelis opposing the 2023 judicial reform, Halabi found that this lesson positively predicted protest participation and support for both normative and non-normative collective actions. Furthermore, psychological mechanisms such as identification with the movement, moral obligation, efficacy, and anger mediated the link between the lesson and protest participation.<\/p>\n

In Germany, Halabi developed a scale to systematically measure Holocaust lessons using a bottom-up approach. A study with 500 German participants identified four core lessons: resistance to right-wing extremism, critical thinking toward authority, the protection of Jewish lives, and the safeguarding of human dignity. In a study among a similar sample, the resistance lesson predicted collective action intentions against the rise of right-wing extremism in Germany beyond the other three lessons.
\nDr. Halabi\u2019s work highlights how lessons drawn from the Holocaust can be universally applied to strengthen democratic societies and foster collective responsibility.<\/p>\n

Dr. Oliver Fink <\/strong>f\u00fchrte \u00fcber drei Jahre Mixed-Methods-Feldforschung durch, um die Dynamik von Emotionen und ihren Einfluss auf Gewalt zwischen Gruppen im Israel-Pal\u00e4stina-Konflikt zu untersuchen. In seiner Arbeit argumentiert er, dass der pr\u00e4diktive Einfluss von Emotionen auf gewaltt\u00e4tiges Handeln stark kontextabh\u00e4ngig ist. Die Arbeit enth\u00e4lt grundlegende Anwendungen zum Verst\u00e4ndnis gewaltsamer Konflikteskalation, der Praxis von Konflikttransformation und des verantwortungsvollen sozialen Wandels in Gruppenkonflikten oder gespaltenen Gesellschaften.<\/p>\n

Zus\u00e4tzlich erhielt eine Arbeit die Auszeichnung Honorable Mention: Kristine Andra Avram, Dissertation Responsibility: A Kaleidoscopic View<\/em> (Philipps-Universit\u00e4t Marburg).<\/p>\n
